Founder and Director

IMG_0632Emily Goodwin: Emily started Cascade Mountain School after realizing it was the perfect intersection of her passions: environmental stewardship, youth education, and experience of the natural world. Emily is currently completing her Masters of Arts in Teaching from Lewis at Clark College in Portland, Oregon. Emily received her BS and MS in Earth Systems, an interdisciplinary environmental science program, from Stanford University. Before founding CMS, Emily worked for the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation on ocean conservation issues. Emily attended the Maine Coast Semester when she was in high school and hopes to offer similarly transformational opportunities to West Coast youth.
